today have been a really historic day for me .
and for a group of my frends.
today ,
after joining school band for 8yrs,
which is a quarter of my skooling life,
finally,
its the last day of performance for us .
the first batch of bu3 skool band,
we , graduated !
we, started on our own feet with a group of reli dedicated people.
we have been up n running for 5years,
but oni three years ago that we reli started,
"coming out ".
coming out means,
that we started giving public performances other than our skool's own event.
its was three years ago that we had our vry own windband concert.
3years ago,
we did came out reli well,
for being a new band,
nothing was easy for us,
we didnt have enuf of manpower,
we were lack of experience,
from perfoming to organizing to promoting.
we didnt have anuf instruments, experience, money, members.
becuz of that,
our first concert was attended by vry lil people.
and that the second half of the concert was helped by another band.
but,
through the humiliation, tiredness, pain, extra hours,
we did not give up,
we continued to bring up our performance and standards.
we increased many things,
increase in members, instruments, experience, standards.
and then 2years later,
we finally succeeded in having yet another successful concert.
this concert was a boost to everyone becuz it was 200% better than the first one.
we had done everything perfectly well.
in the last 3years,
we did reli much,
had 2concerts,
performed a few times in 1utama,
performed at mppj for CNY celebrations,
performed for a malaysian books of record event,
performed for many many skool's event,
joined marching band competitions,
joined windband competitions,
toured to watch other band's concerts.
we learned much,
we gained much,
we did much,
we SUCCEEDED !
for the past 3years,
band has reli been our lives,
we had more practices than any societies in skool's.
at least half of holidays we need to return to skool to practice.
we have long and tiring practices,
practices under the sun !
so,
dont say we didnt do anything to be where we are.
and dont you dare !
dont you dare say its so easy juz playing the instrument according to the score sheets !
it doesnt work tat way !!!
tis is who we are !
a big family with many siblings.
bros and sis from different parents.
but found new parents - SMKBU3 BAND!
other than that,
today ,
i found out something that i shud have find out a reli long time ago.
i found out that,
its reli emotional watching our band play.
today,
i sit in front of them hearing them play a song.
its was reli a wake up call of some kind. vry emotional and vry meaningful.
i was into the music n then suddenly i juz snapped !
and,
WOW !
i saw that our members is reli into playing vry well.
i saw that they reli put their heart into it.
although sometimes, or most of the time,
they seem to have absolutely no teamwork at all,
or that they even hate each other,
but juz as the conductor starts the stroke,
it is as if all those incooperation and hatred is gone,
everyone does their best to bring out the song,
they became ONE !
tis is reli beautiful to watch.
and then ,
i reli have a feeling that i cannot express with words,
i juz feel,

i duno, u feel up the blanks for me,
i cant describe.
this is them, putting everything behind them and performing their best as ONE!
flutist and trumpeters.
clarinist.
saxophonist, bass clarinist,tuba and euphonium player.
this is wat i mean that they mind their own business.
but hey, who are u to judge?!
we are who we are ,
SMKBU3 WIND BAND !!!
i would like to thank all those that have helped us all the time in making our band perfect.
i would like to thank all those unsung heroes / behind the scenes players that dont get credits or mentioned becuz they are not seen.
i would like to thank and show my appreciations to all bass player and melody player,
becuz we, are not seen, we are not thanked, juz becuz we dun play as nice music for the audiences, juz becuz we have no solos, juz becuz they cant hear us.
but it is who we are that makes them perfect!
it is us who make them stand up, we shud be thanked more and appreciated.
and to those other players, congratz but dun boost ur ego by stepping on others.
